Derik Diaz was born and raised in Ithaca, New York where his interest in art and comic books developed at an early age. Derik studied Sequential Art at The Savannah College of Art and Design where he honed his skills and graduated with a BFA in 2008.

Since then Derik has self-published a short graphic novel entitled Air-Heart (which you can check out here!) and has produced illustrations and storyboards for various companies in the U.S. Derik cites Bruce Timm, and Mike Weiringo as two of the largest influences on his personal artistic style.

Derik currently lives with his family in Columbus, Ohio where he continues to pursue his passion, most recently in the form of this glorious webcomic. Derik is looking forward to developing The Adventures of Toad for many more years to come.
